I followed this tutorial (clicky), but the banner won't disappear. I would prefer not to use CSS to disable it, as my CSS page is pretty big already (it is only a small snippet, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to stuff like that). In the client area page, I changed it to Off, and it didn't go, and when I checked again, it said its status is Off, and can't select it in the drop down anymore. The reason I want it disabled is because I already have a banner in a more optimal place on my pages.

Your domain says "This website is currently down for maintainance" and I don't see a badge.

Oh sorry, I put it in maintenance mode, and it doesn't show on that page because the table has a height of 100%
It should be out of maintenance mode now

Really? It's at the bottom left for me. I also cleared cache and cookies and all that jazz :/

Okay I see it, it's not floating though that's why I missed it. It's not loading the CSS for some reason. Just add this to your site's CSS:
#sixserve { display: none }
#sixserve { display: none }

Okay. I'll have to try and hide the CSS somewhere because the snippet bugs me (I'm a bit OCD like that
)
