Cannot really say about ease of use, but yes for designs and functions - I agree....Well AEF is very much new, so it will take time to develop....I'd have gone for phpbb now if I had the opportunity, but now it's not possible....

For ease of use and simple , I'd go for vanilla forums , new and fast.

However me and a few of my friends are planning to create a website for my school alumni and it is gonna have a forum, I'll try phpbb maybe....
