Okay, first off, you can't compare SixServe with Squidix. The Free server has more than 3,000 accounts on it compared to the maybe 40 of the paid server. Secondly, we can't offer both cPanel and DirectAdmin on a free server... that'd be insane. It's bad enough that a cPanel license costs hundreds of dollars let alone getting a DirectAdmin license which is another couple of hundred. Then we have server maintenance to pay for and what-have-you. A free hosting company is just that, free. We don't get anything (unless people purchase the premium services or click on ads) in return for giving you this free service. We can't allow more packets to be sent via phpMyAdmin for one database import, again that's insane. As Daniel mentioned earlier, if we were to do that then many people would be abusing the server and we'd have to deal with downtimes and everything else. If you want a reliable community and website as well as server, your best bet is to purchase premium hosting. If you don't like it, don't get it the next month, but $2.49 / month isn't bad and Squidix has a money-back guarantee.

Good points Dave. And noted. I am just a bit frustrated with this issue considering it's so random and strange. The packet stuff I mean. I mean you think if you slice a database into 39 parts, importing the thing would be a piece of cake. But little do you know, more problems arise. :o

idk about vb but i had same problem like you before, but im using IPB. Same case where i accidentally installed unsupported plugin and causing board to malfunction. I backup up the database and re-import it again and it didnt solve the problem, so what i did is i re-install fresh copy of IPB and i re-import partial of IPB database that holds my previous IPB forums, posts, users, comments, status updates. Other SQL tables i ignore it and it works fine.

So maybe you just need to only export only important parts of the database like posts, forums, categories, permalinks and users. Other SQL tables like settings, plugins and etc. is not required since you can redo the settings manually. But before the import you have to DROP same tables like you exported before or it will give out same unique value error.

Interesting. How previous was your backup? See our vb4 plugin was accidentally installed on the 13th of April. I then tried to import a backup database to solve the problem. But that backup was created December 31st, 2011. So I figured a backup created four months prior to this scenario, would surely have solved the problem. But it seems you're telling me it wouldn't? That's strange considering the first rule of forum ownership is to back up your data early and often. So if deleting the database, and importing a back up from winter 2011, wouldn't solve the problem of a bad plugin installed in April of 2012...then it seems this whole "backup" stuff is sort of overrated.

get the current backup. Plugins should be not a problem since plugins merely have its own database table, unless it beyond than my expectation. Give it a try. Your older backup will be fine and it might work because your import will be much smaller compare to now. Maybe from 39 to 16-22

The one I've been trying to import here has been the older backup. It's not all parts of the split database I have a problem with though. Just part 2. Part 2 has a large endless run-on string of numbers and letters, and it also has avatar data and stuff.
