The difference between nulled and retail is

for example IPB has there scripts incrypted

nulling decrypts them and causes many issues later on... and if ur ever reported to ipb no matter what if ur on a offshore or onshore server IPB will cause the script to go down. i been through it many times.

DO NOT TAKE THE RISK because they dont destroy the script they destroy the database when they take them down. and of course if caught on a USA server you will go to jail and have about a 1 million dollar fine

I myself have NEVER heard of anyone going to jail over a nulled script. Do you know of any news reports? Also it is more likely for fines but yet again I have never heard of anyone getting them.

I'm not sure about jail but yeah you can get fines. But large companys etc,. Distributing those could go too.

But me have heard and seen ( terminated by my hand on the terminate button ) many nulled scripts dismissed from the internet. Of course, some try to put them back up...

A nulled Xen-Foro is very difficult to notice unlike IPB and VB. VB can be picked up easily but not Xen-Foro. Like Raymond said there are allot of Nulled Scripts on the net, you'll even find them in small websites and forums. Dosent matter much tho, developers are aware of this.. If we notice, we'll just hit the terminate button, our servers are in the U.S so its Strict. Guys who distribute these have their own servers private or some where in Netherlands so they cant take them down not even DCMA i guess.

Nulled scripts have activation removed so it can be installed without paying. Retail scripts are unmodified directly from the vendor.

I am not promoting software piracy, but I must tell you how terribly wrong you are. A true off-shore hosting provider is based in a non-US country which does NOT have copyright laws and is not covered by the DMCA. In that case, there is absolutely nothing a vendor can do against your site, as it is not in US jurisdiction. Some hosts will claim (knowingly or not) to be off-shore, while their country does have piracy laws. An example of such a country would be Sweden, which has barely any copyright laws, and the few they have are never enforced.
