Hi all.

not having had to do this before i am a bit uncertain of how to proceed and the cpanel documentation is of little help.
I have a full backup of a site that was made with the cpanel backup utility, and i would like to use it to recreate the website, but i now notice that cpanel cant do this for me, and i am uncertain as to how i do it manually.

one posible problem that i will come across is that the backup may contain things like parked domains that are not enabled on these servers.

i dont want to go breaking the nice shiny new web space that i have got by copying files into the wrong place or overwriting things that i shouldn't, so im looking for some guidance.

if anyone can help it would be much appreciated and save a bit of time trying to remember how things were set up.

many thanks in advance for the help.

You will need to upload the full back up to / in your cPanel File Manager. From there, we can back it up manually. As for the parked domains, you will need our unlimited domain package for that.
Best Regards,

thanks dave. good to know that it can be done, as i have a far larger site (collection of sites in subdomains) that i need to get hosted somewhere after my last provider (a buddy of mine) shut down his servers. its about 3.5GB disk space (but that will be reduced once the development files and directories are removed)

i have asked about the 9.99 package in my other question about 2 domain names pointing at one server so wont repeat myself here.

many thanks for your help.
