You are kidding me right? Sixserve is the best host i have ever seen. Trust me when i say this. I have ran free hosts and used free hosts. I have used them all and nothing can compare to this host. All of them suck except sixserve. Sam dose a great job on keeping this host up. I even have used paid hosting that cant beat this host. I recommend you try this host again and if you have any problems please let us know.

I also agree with Kitt , some paid hosts don't even come near sixserve's quality free service and all this wouldn't have been there if it wasn't for Sam.

Already was on my way out when I came across this one. Seems like the same topic all over again. People want 150% but barley agree to pay any more then -200% - Good heavens, this is a FREE service, what the hell you are barking at? Thing is pretty easy: Don't like, move it. Nobody is forcing you to host your stuff on this machine. And regarding other /free/ hosts, there ain't much with a feature list like this one. If you had been on the web for just half the years I have, you'd probably gear it down a bit and try some productive feedback instead. The meaning of community bears a strong relation to something, people do united. It's always easy to point the finger and start complaining - and it's your damn right to do so - just make sure to have done your own homework. Oh and btw, don't take it personal, I'm simply sick and tired of folks shouting without knowing better.

i have been designing and hosting sites for about 2 yrs now and from the time i started til i met sixserver only one has been able to come close that was monkeyserver which shut down due to members kept asking for more then giving back.

sixserve offers allot of features so what it has some that isn't working but what would you like the freedom to host sites that has no limit that much or a site that is stricted to what the host wants you to host? sixserve doesn't control what you host as long as it is legal and is valid.

i would say from the time i started with sixserve i have found it to be happy to be with this company and if i could afford it i would buy premium so i could help sixserve.

been biting my tongue, but gotta chime in with my two cents...

I've been using free hosting services for well over four years now. I've only found one other host as good as this, due to circumstances in the owner's personal life, it shut down (I still keep in touch with him). The only thing that the other host had over SisServe was add-on domains on free accounts, other than that it was almost identical in feature set. The one other thing, which makes the two best free hosts I've encountered rank high with me, is that they have owners and staff who are actively engaged with their users. They jump all over support requests and have great response times compared to many free hosts. SixServe doesn't play the inane "post-to-host" game, doesn't require you to place ads on your pages, and has an active community of users that help each other out. I've been here for a month now, and have had one or two brief occasions when server load was high, but have had ZERO down time. From what I've seen, the staff is quite good at tracking down and suspending accounts that abuse resources (kudos gang!). I also like that they check new account applications for bogus information - this cuts down on abusers in the long run. My add-on domain is gone, but I was only using it as a honeypot to catch forum spammers anyhow, so no big deal.

Reasons why SixServe is better than other free hosts...

-Unlimited: bandwidth, space, email accounts, MySQL db's (most have quite low limits on free hosting)

-up-to-date php and MySQL
-Softaculus and lots of apps
-Raw access logs
-Great staff
-Hosted in the USA

Ive researched free hosts pretty heavily and have tried many of the "top-ranked" ones, only to be sorely dissapointed by lack of features, lack of support, or overall quality of the staff. I landed here because I checked them out and really liked what I found.

Think of it this way, SixServe provides a feature rich hosting environment for FREE!!!! Their host is up a whole lot more than it is down. When it is down, it is because of users, not SixServe.
What more can you ask for at the awesome price point of ZERO Dollars?

I'm with the others who feel that if you do not like it here, go somewhere else. Nobody is forcing you to host here and SexServe doesn't make any money by providing this service, so If you don't like it here, rather than complaining, just go away and free up more resources for the rest of us who can appreciate what Sam and his crew are doing for us.
