Good day!

Just wanted to ask, is there a way where I can login to my phpmyadmin without logging into cpanel? We're working on a project as a team for academic purposes at the moment, since I am the one in control of the cpanel, I don't want to give access to the rest of the team instead, I want to to access the server using FTP and for db to use phpmyadmin only. Is there a way to achieve this goal? Or should I install a phpmyadmin on my own?

Thanks! :)

Hello ,

You can create a direct link to phpMyAdmin, but I believe you would still need to use your cPanel user name and password to access it. so that defeats your purpose. I did a check to see if it was possible to create an account only to access phpMyAdmin but I only see the ability to create database access accounts.

Like , for eg.,

https://hostname:2087/3rdparty/phpMyAdmin/index.php<br style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-family: Verdana, Arial, Tahoma, Calibri, Geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; "><br style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-family: Verdana, Arial, Tahoma, Calibri, Geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; ">Change "hostname" to your servers hostname or ip address.

You would need the cpanel password tho , even for security measures. You can also have a separate phpmyadmin installation. You can download the installation package from official phpMyAdmin website.

Besides , you'r supposed to post this topic in the general web discussion section and not in tutorials.

Edit: This topic has been moved from tutorials.

Hi! I tried adding the phpmyadmin under a sub domain..Problem is, when you log in using a user with password, shouldn't there be no database listed beside since the user isn't assign to any database just yet? Sorry, I'm just a beginner here. Thanks! Once again, sorry for posting under a wrong topic.
